The Coffee Car launched in 2005, bringing unbeatable specialty coffee to events all over the UK.
Since then Tom and his team have been working hard to constantly improve and innovate. We are confident that we are the most innovative, quality focused mobile coffee sub contractor in the UK. We have invested heavily in our primary operation – our Smart Coffee Cars. These units were initially designed by us in 2005 and caused quite a stir. They have got us to where we are today and still turn heads wherever they go (not to mention make a cracking cup of coffee)
Our latest innovation is a 1978 Citroen HY coffee unit. After several months of searching we imported the van from Normandy. It was in surprisingly good condition for its age, however, we handed it to the fabricators who stripped it out and made it like new. We then had it resprayed and then sent it back to fabricators to turn it in ‘the ultimate coffee unit’.
We decided that it would be a good idea to keep the French theme, so we have called it ‘La Maison Du Café – Purveyors of fine coffee’. This unit is now in operation and offers a larger menu than the Smart Car Units. We tracked down Alfa, (in our opinion the best French baker in Yorkshire) and after sampling dozens of croissants, Alfa now fills the display fridge full of freshly made Torsades, Croissants, Tarte au Citron, Pain au Chocolat, Pain au Raisin etc the perfect complement to a coffee.. We then went to the roasters and with the help of our coffee gurus we made dozens of espressos and lattes, added some latte art and sampled many beans until we came up with the ultimate blend to suit the French theme.
